Our love affair with this breed began over 25 years ago at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York City. We met Ch. Charisma Café Diable, and his owners, Connie and Trevor Adel, of the well-known Charisma Kennels, Silver Spring, Maryland. We were immediately taken with the breed. Our first Standard Schnauzer, Ch. Charisma Sundance Kid, better known as “Bentley”, came to us in 1982. Since then we have owned six more Charisma Standard Schnauzers: “Shelby”, “Maggie”, “Sophie”, “Beau”, “Jackie-O”, and “Ellie”. Connie and Trevor Adel have become good friends and we are fortunate to have them as our mentors.
It is only now that we have decided to begin our own breeding program. We felt we needed to live with, train, and show the dogs in conformation before embarking into the world of breeding. We have been members of the Standard Schnauzer Club of America for many years and Rhonda has held the position of President of the Standard Schnauzer Club of Northern California for the past three years. We feel it is very important to support the breed and the people involved with it in the area. Our weekends are typically spent with the dogs, either at a conformation dog show, herding event, educational seminar, or an activity sponsored by our regional club. During the week, we can be found at a local dog park, playing ball and frisbee with our four Standard Schnauzers. Since our passion is our dogs, we love nothing more than spending time with them.
Please contact us with any questions you may have. It is our sincere wish that your own experience with this marvelous breed will be as fulfilling as ours has been for twenty five years.
